history and experience since 1976

VALTIMET, a Vallourec group company, is a world leading supplier for titanium and stainless steel welded tubes, with established facilities on 3 continents - Europe, North America and Asia. Its first plant was built in 1976 in Venarey-les-Laumes (Côte d'Or, France) to meet EDF needs for its nuclear program. In 1996, Changzhou Valinox Great Wall was the first company in this industry to settle in China. In order to pursue its growth, the company then turned to the USA with a plant in Morristown, Tennessee. In 2004, a joint-venture company, Poongsan Valinox, was created with Poongsan Corp, in South Korea, with an additional facility located in Incheon.

VALTIMET then strengthened its position in China in 2005 by creating a new joint-venture company, Xi'An Baotimet Valinox Tubes, with the local titanium producer Baoji Titanium Industry. In 2006, VALTIMET also acquired the Indian company CST Ltd, renamed CST Valinox, to better serve the local market. The same year Changzhou Carex Valinox Components was created in China. Finally, in 2008, VALTIMET acquired a US company, High Performance Tube (HPT), which is a recognized specialist in the production of finned tubes.
